If you want it to all match in terms of darkness, yeah. I mean you can go ahead and do 5 over factory but thats gonna be pretty damn dark lol

Wirelessly posted

I have 5% over factory and you can no see in what so ever. Even with your face to the glass and your hands covering the sides its pitch black. From the inside looking out its not as bad but still black

I'm kind of wondering if doing something like 10% on the fronts and 15% on the back would be a better idea. I want my backs to be super dark though because of my system.

my 2 cents on tint...

dark windows attract burglars too... best bet is to use safety screws to secure everything in your truck. what kind of thief carries around a set of torx drivers with them? a window can still get smashed no matter how dark it is, but at least they won't be able to grab your stuff.

sweet build btw. is birch really that much lighter than MDF? would you recommend using it over MDF?

Good deal, nice update. That was enough tint talk to last me three years.

This wasn't even birch. This is called Arauco. It's $10 less than birch, lighter than birch, but is still very strong and has the same properties as birch. And the best part about it in my opinion is that the saw dust isn't bad at all. MDF covers everything and sucks to inhale. I would recommend using it over MDF. This box is just a little bit heavier than my box for my old AQ which is very nice.

Haha it's a DJ Slow N' Throw song. It gets down more than the original. My steering wheel jiggles at the lowest volumes haha I'll have to get a video tomorrow of my steering wheel flex.

lol I was about to say, the pedobear sticker really brings it together.

Also, sounds good man. Can you hear that vibration on the back windows inside the cab?

Got an 8 minute video processing right now. It's a couple of videos combined. It's nothing special or anything but it gives you an idea how it sounds.

if the back window slapping ever gets too annoying try putting some tennis ***** in between the box and window. that's what i did with a few of my old installs... either that or keep the rear window open.
