Are there any little stencils out there or whatever to make the hole in the door from what it is to round?
I know i can make them and all, but im lazy, and i dont have equipment to make them with.
im looking at putting some Kicker SSMB8 speakers in there, and they dont make any decent components in our size. (that i've found)
so if you have found any decnent components that are like 200-300 bucks, and have an RMS around 150-200 that will fit ford trucks let me know about them.

Why not 75 watt RMS speakers? You only lose 3 dB, from what are likely ear damaging levels anyway. But most speakers should include the stencils with the packaging. Sometimes they are on a slip of paper, and other times printed on the inside of the box. Then you just cut it out and trace on the vehicle you're about to install on.

I'd rather not buy a new amp, thats the reason why i want some high RMS components.
i have an audiobahn A4002T, which i used for subs earlier, but i upgraded my system, so now i have a spare amp, now its a 2 channel, so at 4 ohms, its 100watts, but now is it possible to wire up components at 4 ohms?
i see the alpine SPS571A, and its 40 watts RMS, 200 watt peak, so if i throw 100 watts to it, assuming i can run it at 4 ohm, is that too much power, or should i find something 100 watt rms?

I can't remeber which one. They sell precut MDF rings. They are kinda $$ tho. Perfect for a slacker like me.

Why do you think you need 5x7's/6x8's. You can fit a 6.5 in the stock hole, or make another piece of metal with a perfect 6.5 hole and put it over the stock hole. Actually I cut some parts off my door and have 2 5.25's in it at the moment. I plan on getting some 6.5 components when the money rolls in.
As for speakers, look at Focal or MBQuart. I've heard the MB reference 6.5's and they are insane unreal sounding and are like 180$. The premiums are the next line up which run about 50$ more than that. I've never heard Focal's but heard alot of good about em.
The 8's like you want, I guess you could cut out a larger hole. But i'd get another set of components also, like a 5.25 set, you'd have to match them up well and have crossovers and such set up correctly as well though.

Nice Site! :D
For the record it's:

Nice to see an easy alternative to the plastic adapters from Car Domain. I had been planning on doubling those up when I re-do the system in my Mazdaspeed as I found them to be a little too flimsy for my taste when using them in the B4000 but this is even better.
EDIT: Looks like they just have the rings at this point in time. Not the 5x7 to 6.5" mounting boards. Oh well... Still a nice site with lots of good install products.
