That panasonic with the colored head unit looks pretty sick. What price did you price it at.

Kenwood. imo...best money i've ever spent on a head unit...but from what you got there... i'd go with panasonic. i used to have a real nice one before some *** hole thought he needed it more than i did. if i find him im going to rip is f*cking head off i swear it. but panasonic if you got your heart set on it

I would go pioneer, IMO they have the most bass, and for someone like me that doesn't have subs, that is a must. I have just had really good luck with them, and there sound quality is excellent!

well, you should get some after market speakers too, that will help with sound quality alot. im not a fan of poineer at all, but im not about to try and convince everybody of my opinions, i wil however say that they do have real good responce or sound quality. also if you amp your speakers, that will help alot w/ life span, sound quality, etc depending on how much you put to them.

I know that the Alpine was not an option!! But I have had many headunits over time and found the Alpines to be the clearest and produce the best sound. I also believe that they have the lowest THD.

I have a panasonic like what you are lookin at atm (not the indash dont have it anymore). It is an amazing headunit for the money. I like it better than pioneer becuase it is alot easier to program and change settings fast.

btw, alpines decks were at their best during the 2004 model year

Id just save the extra money that you'd be spending on a flip out screen, get the pioneer, and buy something else or save your money. I could see how the Pioneer could be a little difficult to program but it gives you so many different choices and all you have to do is read the manual, which in todays world, seems to be asking too much.

if your into a good quality head unit with video check out the jvc kvx2 with the DETACHABLE front face plate. bought it from ebay store for 395.00 and it came free with a install kit face plate a wireloom and a free i-pod adapter will send some pics - its cool to watch music videos and you can put a ###t
load of songs on a dvd that will play in the unit. the best feature is detachable faceplate

hah, ive probably had 20 different headunits in my truck.. everything from my first JVC to a Pioneer N3. Ive had 2 different indashes, the panasonic and the n3. I liked the panasonic better (as far as sq goes). I listen to pretty much everything and im always messing with the eq, HPF and LPF and subwoofer level. its alot simpler with the 2 panasonic's i had than the 3 or 4 pioneer's i had
