A LOT! I had almost 2 bills in materials minus the paint. Heck that thing has over 3 1/2 gallons of of fiberglass resin in the construction. It is very very strong though. I almost hated making it in this hot summer heat, but I got 750 bucks for the box. The paint was done by a mutual friend so I think he only paid 150 after the cost of the paint. I did all the finish work, I even did like 80% of the final sanding and glazing. I like the finish product, I like the frame construction, but all the actual sanding, resin application, and body filler work is nothing but a lot of work. I will do another if the price is right
