i have 2002xlt with the 6dics cd changer from ford, i wanna keep it and ad subs to my system, whats gonna be the easest way to add them?? dose it have audio outs on the radio in the back of the headunit??? if anyone can help let me know thanks

I was talking to A&B sound about this for my 2003 xlt. They said its feezable but it may be a pain in the *** to do it.

I know that the stock CD6 doesn't have any RCA jacks or anything like that.

yea... if im not mistaken, u gotta basically tap the rear speakers, then convert the tapped wire into a rca (which u can buy at radio shack)

+1.

i tapped into the rear speaker wires to run into the "high level inputs" on my amp. it works good but not nearly as good as the RCA cables. i would recommend doing what Ranger02_4x4 said but also run 2 amps one for the rear speakers and one for the subs.

so i should tap into my rear speaker and the run a speaker wire from them into a rca end the to the amp?? or should i tapinto the rear speaker on the back on the head unit?? im thinking just soder another set of wires to the back speaker then splice on an rca conecter?? am i right? then just conect it to the amp and all........

you need to go to an electronics store that has car audio stuff, for example: Radio Shack, Circuit City, Best Buy, Ovation, and get a line output converter. it converts speaker level inputs to an RCA output. Then you plug your RCA cables into the converter and then run the RCA cable to your amp.

you can just tap into the speaker wire that attaches to the rear speaker. you don't need to soder anything just get a couple of butt connectors and tie them together.
