Car Puter

i have a AVH-P6500DVD indash dvd touch screen and was wondering how i could make it where if i would be able to use the touch screen as a mouse??? iam lost...i have a busted screen lappy i can use a the puter and it has a s-video output

check out www.mp3car.com there's tons of info on there about carputers. Use their search feature first though. They get a little touchy.

Does your touch screen have an s-video input? ought to work where you just set your settings on the computer to play s-video output and then plug it in the back of the touch-screen as an aux input?

You can probably get a 15pin analog to s-video converter..
most laptops have the plug for an external monitor..
as far as using it as a touch screen... It depends on how that works..
and what kind of hookup it has.

Yeah theres gonna be some software involved in getting the laptop to reconize a touch screen input. Is there like an USB output. Cuz the s-video isn't gonna carry a touch screen signal.
