new head unit

just got a ranger. love music so im replacing the head unit soon, and speakers a bit after that (when money allows)

debating between these two units but i'm open to suggestions, preferably sub 100

i'd go with the Alpine. I have had some bad experiences with Pioneer stuff.

ranger_key. looks nice but id like to stick sub 100 as i need to save for other things (and speakers)

stx thanks for the advice, its a tough choice i like the alpine a wee bit more but the pioneers price is wow.

ive had several pioneers with no trouble, but honestly you won't go wrong with either. the main thing will be getting new speakers and adding a sub.

yeah it does, but is it worth the same price as a decent alpine or pioneer. oh the choices.

edit after rereading the reviews.
doesnt seem to be worth it (the eclipse double din)

back to the apline pioneer debate.

not bad, but for the same price (assuming it goes to about 50-60) i could get a new pioneer with mp3 capabilities.
