Newbie to ranger, audio questions
This is on a 06 XL regular cab.
My first question involves the actual speakers. I have 2 Pioneer 6x9's 4 way, 4 5 1/4's (excellent audio quality not much bass) 2 ways, a couple pioneer 4's also from other cars. I really don't want to buy speakers for the ranger but the sub box I have won't fit so I'm just going to put good speakers and my pioneer mp3 player in it and hopefully I can live with it. I found that extreme bass gives me headache anyways. My plan was to get a adapter for the 5 1/4's and put them in the front and try to put the 6x9's in the rear.. but I don't know if I should just buy or try to trade those with some 6x8's. What do you think? I will eventually buy a amp for all four speakers.
Next question is the wiring and adapters the same from the previous years? I'm guessing the installation adapter is and the wiring adapter is the same as the 04's. Sounddomain and all of those don't have the info for the 06's.
Thanks guys.

Well heres what i've done so far.
So it's not show quality but it works for me. I only have two screws in that pic I got four in the other, but the magnet is against the cab so it doesn't matter much. I originally installed the 5 1/4 in the rear but without a amp those speakers are useless. The 6x9's I had always sounded like crapola, to bassy. The problem was the box they were in. Those 6x9's are meant for a infinite baffle enough bass and they sound fairly decent now even with the stock radio. Now I think i'll buy some 6x8's for the front instead of messing with the others. Unfortunately I wasted over 300 on sub and amps that I never needed.. live and learn.
