What year is it, Evan? I can't remember where they were, but I had a devil of a time digging them out. Ford had tucked them away pretty good so they wouldn't rattle. It was years ago though so sorry I can't remember exactly.

You won't have any wires back there......my 2000 XL didn't have any. Just run some speaker wire from the back along the passenger side rocker panel trim and behind the glove box.
there is a schematic on this site with the stereo pinout. just splice into those wires and you are set. Took me about an hour from start to finish. I added a factory unit with cassette and MP3 compatable.

alright..thanks guys...i wouldve been digging around for those things like crazy lol...so i just splice into the wires running to the stereo?? i saw the wire color chart in the audio forum...just run those all the way to the back im assuming?.....im debating on what i want to do with the truck...im fixing up all these lil things that have bothered me forever about it...should i sell and get a 4x4? i would have to sell my car too 03 vw jetta gls 1.8t i love that car but im thinking of just selling my truck and car to buy a 4x4 ranger...any opinions?

they tie them off about a foot after the connector, and dissappear somewhere behind the dash, and they aren't at the back i had my mat all the way out of my truck looking for them
