Opinions on this box?

I know my limits and know that I don't have the knowledge, skill, or tools required to fabricate my own box. Sooo, that leaves me with purchasing a pre-made one. Can you guys give me some opinions on this box?:

FORD RANGER 12" EXTCAB SUBWOOFER SPEAKER ENCLOSURE BOX - eBay (item 270664477811 end time Dec-15-10 0549 PST)

I'm planning on putting in some Sundown Audio SA-12's in it.

Honestly, i wouldnt buy a prefab box. I would rather spend the money and have someone build me a nice box if i couldnt make it myself. If u lived closer, i could help out.

that box is a bit on the thin side at 5/8". You also probably want something with more internal volume for those sundowns, otherwise they will sound tight and wont dig down real low.

This would be better suited for your subs.. still not perfect. but you would be satisfied IMO.

I've never heard of a "super cab" ranger. Super usually means there's another bench seat behind the two bucket seats. The only rangers I've ever seen are extended cab, with jumpseats in the back for small children.

Supercab refers to the 4 door trucks, while an extended cab is just that, but with only 2 doors.

you can buy any prefab box you want. at least that way you will know your subs will sound the way they should. simple tools, some carpet, and time, you could build a simple surround to make it look alot more custom. really not that hard to do, after you have the box. only limit is your imagination. some advice though, make sure your sub box is made out of 3/4 inch wood.
