Blew My Kicker L3. Now Looking for a new sub
Well as the title states I blew my L3 well i actually destroyed the voice coil. So now I'm looking for a new sub. I've been looking at Rockford Fosgate T1's but I've never ran RF before so i have no idea if they are any good. Or maybe if you guys know of anything better let me know

Are the L3's a less expensive version of the L7?
Haven't had any experience with the square subs, but I've still got my original production 90's 15" solobaric & it still sounds great.
Not too sure about the new RF stuff, but back in the day they made incredible stuff. I'm going to be installing my 90's 12" Punch subs in either my truck or expo when time allows.
From what I've seen, the prime series RF & Comp kicker stuff aren't that great... something has to be up when you can buy kickers at wal mart
Post up some pics of your setup too

Yeah the L3 is the cheaper version of the L7. Smaller voice coils and is rated at 400rms 800max where the L7 is 800rms and 1600max. This sub is from RF 2008 and its part of the POWER series. It was in my buddys S-10 for years. He went to a 15" Sundown. That thing is unreal. The sub I have is rated at 600rms and 1200max at 1 ohm. I have it wired at 4 ohms right now because the amp i have in my truck isnt stable to 1 ohm. I tried it and kept going into protection mode. So the box that i have it in right now doesnt fit right. Once I stop working 12 hour days 7 days a week I'll make a new box that actually looks like something.

Congrats on the new RF sub. They make some of the hardest hitting loud components in the business IMO. I had one in an old S-10 of mine back in HS. Got me several disturbing the peace tickets...
Currently running T1682 Power 6x8" speakers in my doors on my Ranger. Once I get my matching set for the rear of the truck I don't think I'll need a sub. These things hit pretty damn hard.
