subwoofer Q?

here the specs of the subs im getting. but the ohms always confuse me, can someone tell me what this means??

Ohms = resistance

Amplifiers are capable of delivering different wattage, depending on the ohm load you give it.

The lower the resistance, the more power you can usually get out of an amplifier. However, you can only go so low (depending on the amp)

You should be fine if you find an amp that will do 1000w at 4ohms and wire the sub to 3ohm... or you could wire the sub to 6ohm and not worry about blowing it and it'll last longer...

it means your sub's ok

it'll sound ok at first, but later you'll realize that it just farts, and it's not loud nor deep enough compared to better subs
