Icon4 What do you guys suggest?

Polk Audio db571 or Boston Acoustics S85 for speakers? (front and rear doors) my speakers are F'ed^. anyone else have the problem with the wiring? like mine work for a bit then die and if i hit the door they work again(prob terrible stock connectors) but i still need new speakers because i just sold my subwoofers and the speakers are terrible......

image dynamic components :) only need one set and put 50-75w to em and your golden..

just listen to both and see which ones ya like best

My suggestion, since sound is such a personal thing. Go to a store like Best Buy, Circuit City, or any other large chains in your area that has an auto audio section. Listen to the various speakers side by side. See which sounds better to YOU. Make your decision based on that.

alot of people run the pioneer 5x7s and seem to like them personal i usualy have pioneer stuff in my cars and thats what i like

I like my alpine type-s 5x7s. I have had them with and without and amp and they sound a LOT better with one.

my truck came with infiniti references all around ... which was perfect cause i added 2 10" infiniti reference subs in a sealed box i had leftover from the car that preceded it ... sounds great and bumps loud

If you are talking about the 6x8 size boston speakers, dont get them. I really like Boston speakers but the 6x8 just sound like crap for some reason. I have the pioneer three ways and I am happy with them. They are not great but for the price they are awesome.

That's the same setup I have in my truck. I've got comps in the front doors and just the regular 2 way reference in back. Love them. I don't often make them "bump" though. Just when I want to teach some smart a$$ that his POS stock setup isn't as loud as he thinks it is. It's even better when they realize they've been shown up by some white haired old fart.

ive seen your setup, much much cleaner than anything i could do ... my box is actually held up by bricks lol

alpine 5x7's or jbl. i dont like pioneer coaxils unless they are the D series. i have a set of pioneer 6 3/4" D components and i love them

Yes they do! I went to best buy today and heard a few of them they sound great. I think i am going to go with those when i get the money for them. But for now, i am looking to get my 4x4 fixed before the snow falls or im going to be stuck going up a hill that leads to my house haha
