Radio reception
I have a Kenwood KDC-x990 radio and the radio reception isn't all that great. It does pretty good most of the time I guess, but I find that in alot of areas I drive through everyday going to school, it gets static in it, and is not really clear. I really dont remember my factory radio being this bad. I was expecting it to be better than this to have spent 350 bucks on it. The Assume I got the attenna plug all the way into the back of the radio, but it wasn't a really snug fit.....nothing like plugging into the factory radio. Is there a way to improve the signal or what do you think?

I have a kenwood DDX 6019 and the radio reception is amazing. Much better than the factory unit had, It may be location or the antenna connection. One of the reasons I bought Kenwood was for it's radio reception. I like the 6019 for it's ability to program what type of music you want to listen to rock, country etc.
The 6019 is at the bottom of the line double din units kenwood makes but with the all the hookups available for it, what it doesn't do I can live with out.
Have you tried a different antenna or a signal booster.
