And there lies part of the problem. They deducted my fees directly from my CC. Part of what bothers me is that there is never any warning. There's never a friendly note to say by the way, you're account renews this month, so we'll be charging you $XYZ.. Not so much as an email. But that's in the term of service, so I can't really get too bent out of shape about it.

What bothers me is what happened when I tried to cancel my service. I phoned in plenty of time, more than 3 weeks before my renewal and specifically asked to not have my account renewed. The service representative LIED to me and told me that they no longer automatically renewed, that they would require authorization to do so and that I should simply not authorize the renewal when it came in the mail.

No such authorization message came. Instead they billed me over $145. When I called to complain I was threatened w/ $75 cancelation fee.. for THEIR mistake! This may seem unreasonable to some, but I find this unacceptable! Therefore I'm in no hurry to do business w/ them again.

Thomas sorry it took so long to get back to you... I think that it made all the difference. I noticed that sort of light static noise in the background before the modulator... Another thing I saw was when I would go out of town and there was a radio station close to the same frequency I was using I had all kinds of interference. The modulator I bought was a generic one from crutchfield, the nice thing is it stops the outside interference by doing the antenna cut-out...

They deduct it from checking account by using my debit card. That's the reason that I pay monthly, I don't want any cancellation fee's or any fee's added at all.

I guess you get good people and you get bad people. Maybe I haven't talked to a bad person yet????????? I haven't had a problem with the Sirius customer support yet. With XM, I was calling about 2 times per week.

Long haul trucker here. I've had Sirius for over a year. I've got the old-school Streamer model. Its great, haven't had any problems with the radio. I've gone through a few antenna's though, but they're replaced under warranty, so really no big deal!!
