I don't want to be mean and just tell you to use the search function, but I will give you the very basics, and then if someone more knowledgable wants to chime in they will.

Start with swapping out your factory headunit for a aftermarket one if you haven't done so already. Make sure it has preamps for a subwoofer to be connected later on.

Then swap out the factory speakers for some 6x8s, which will give you better highs and quality of music. Pioneer makes some good, but cheap speakers to satisfy this.

After those two are done, get yourself an amp and a subwoofer to fill in the lows and bass.

These things will dramatically improve your overall quality of sound in the ranger. That's about all I'm good for.

in this order.

-Headunit-look for equilizer bands, sub out puts, aux output, functions, etc
-Speakers-front need to have good mids and highs, infinity, MB quart, boston
etc., search
rear need to have bass and maybe some highs but you wont really hear them
I would suggest components for the front.
-Subs, Amps, Wiring- different strokes for different folks i guess. search around. Mainly Sound qaulity and SPL are the two types of bass. w/e. search. vague question to answer.
