Audio system upgrade help
new to the ''field'' of modding an audio system ...
help me out here guys ... I want it to be louder. I know I need an amp and more powerful speakers. What else do I need? I'd love for the bass to be really making my passengers' heads explode ... I listen to alot of music with double-bass. NO RAP. Mostly classic rock, and newer stuff.
here's a sample.

(it may not seem great at first, it gets better, i swear, lol)
Listen to my song.
So, what do I do? and can you guys give me a rough estimate? thanks a * * * *load in advance.
it's a 2005 ranger xlt, FYI

A new head unit, components in the front, 2 or 3 ways in the rear for fill. 2 amps, 1 4 way & 1 2 way, 2 10" subs & enclosure. Heres a link to my sight with my system, might give you some ideas. : http://mysite.verizon.net/res1c0ed/ricksrides/id13.html

you can get a Kicker 700.5 5channel amp for about 300, 250 for a nice set of Pioneer Premier comps, nice amp kit about 60 thats at $610
do you have an extended cab or regular? let me know and I can put togther a sub combo to work for you. BTW just getting a nice set of Component speakers up front with 150-200RMS to them will be superb. completely forget about any rear speakers. if you are shooting for decent imaging, nice treble, great midbass, and so on i can lead you the right way.
What kinda deck are you looking for? screen or just a nice headunit?

Extended. However, behind my seats is all wiring for my lights ... my auxillary batter is also back there. I'll be getting everything re-wired professionally on the 27th of March, so if you'd like I can get some pictures up.
One of my buddys' today told me to put subs underneath the seats. I don't know if that'll fly in my truck, but, we'll see.
so what are ya thinkin for subs?
just a nice headunit. I have too many things to play with in my interior already.

you can do a nice kicker L7 10 in a prefab ported box for about another 200, so $810 so far for a capable system. as far as a deck you can run a nice pioneer or alpine for about 2-250 or spend an extra 300 and get a nice kenwood double din indash DVD player. if you need any links, just pm me and we can figure it out for you.
