What do ya'll think about this? Is it a good brand? Im wanting a Cd/mp3 radio whatever that has a screen on it to display pictures/graphics and still function as a radio/cd player. I saw this one but dont know how good it is.

I have a Power Acoustik cap and am going to get a 3000 wat amplifier. As for head units I would not not be tooo tooo confortable. Id shoot for the panisonic. I have this one as of now:

That is the same panasonic that I am looking at. I am torn between that and an Alpine. The panasonic seems to be a pretty good unit, for the price break it is pretty hard to beat. If you get it let us know how it works.

The obvious difference between the two is the panasonic doesn't play DVD's. They both have a LCD display but you can watch DVD's on the Power Acoustik unit.

 

fletch12518, do you have any pics of it installed? And how is the screen it has on it? I also noticed it doesn't have the station preset buttons that most radios have.....how does that work?

 

well, I want it to function mainly as a cd/radio, but thought it would be nice to have a screen (not a big one) but just one to put pictures on and see what they are. And I dont really want to spend that much.

 

i have the C8413U which looks exactly like that one. the preset buttons are on the remote. i'm really happy with it so far.

 

I liked my panasonic when i had it because the sq wasnt that bad and it was easy to change the settings around (like hpf and lpf). I like my pioneer better!! thanks quest! haha

I kinda like this HU because of all the features, and settings and all. I've had a blaupunkt before, and it was real nice. It was a blaupunkt CasablancaCD52. Just not real sure about how it looks.......its ok, considering all the features it has. It even has the RDS, which will tell the station your on, and maybe even the song.

I think this might be the radio I want......it has automatic sound, RDS, great radio reception, 6 band eq, mono amp preamp, MP3, Usb port, screen that you can upload pictures and stuff, 4,000 background colors to choose from.......this might be the one.

Are you more interested in sound or display?

 

Well, I really want one for sound, I want great radio reception, and to be able to adjust the eq bands.....but the display finishes it off. I know I dont want one just for the screen if the sound is not going to be good.

 

What is the HIGHEST you are willing to throw out there?

 

I dont really want to go over $300.

 

ok Im not telling you to get it. But the deck I have is just right. Look at the details when it is being described.

Thats no problem. I couldnt do it when i first got it. But you cant even tell now. Plus it keeps the finger prints and all off beings you don't have to touch it.

I luv my Alpines, I have the 9860 in both my Ranger & show car. Then in the car I have a seperate screen that folds out to take up the extra space whereas I have video screens in both visors in my Ranger.
