Have been searching forums for answers to upgrading the system liked this one so joined. This is my info on the subject, my girlfriend has an 04 tremor she got brand new. Between riding in my mustang and her truck she decided she did not have enough "BOOM BOOM". She got a great deal from a friend on two mtx twelves in a vented box. I took her and pick out a good kicker mono amp and pioneer head unit. I was weary of the install due to the stock pioneer system, so i had someone else do it. Everything worked great after a few little problems. two weeks ago everything was stolen by a ex boyfriend from way back (he was caught!). it's taking forever to try and get her stuff so she decided to just upgrade, she needed more boom boom. Installation was free with the purchase of the head unit, but in doing this the installer messed up some wires, and i decided to do the install of the subs and amp. Running into a few problems along the way but working through it. the 10 has been removed and i have cleaned the wiring up and mounted the stock amp along with the new fosgate 1650 watt pushing the fosgate p3 12(got a good deal on everything) in a bandpass box. a little hard but it all can be done. It was hard finding info on this so i decided to post this for those looking for it.

its cool haven't got the little bugs worked out yet amps on and cleaning up the wiring now just started yesterday. I think the subs going to be too much for her esp. if i get to tweaking!lol i had two p3 10's in a sealed box being pushed by a 1500 watt fosgate in my reg cab ranger and it was ridiculos!

 

Nice! I'm running a single w6v2 with a p6001 and its all i'll ever need for a sub and amp.

 

I'm always trying to get my girlfriend to get a system or take my old one off of my hands, but she just doesn't care for it.

 

well mines one of a kind she had the truck for about 6 months and had 6" of lift and 35" tires on it!

 

damn. Mine has an 06 tacoma prerunner and wants to trade it in for a freakin Mazda 3. The tacoma is freakin fast as hell too and would look and perform awesome offroad. She only got a truck because I had one and know she wants a freakin mazda 3, and not even the speed version. WTF!

 

you got to talk to her man my girls truck isonly a 2wd but with the lift and tires it can take on some pretty nasty stuff off-road. she loves trucks esp. big ones i have an older f150 4wd with 35's but my real love is mustangs. get her to keep the truck it would get so much more attention esp. with some bigger tires and a little body lift!
