How about a powered Bazooka tube?
They're pretty cheap, take up very little space & have an amp built in.

You can go to best buy and get a whole sub wire kit. I think walmart sells a wire kit as well.

Would a 800 watt 12" and 600 watt amp be a good combo?

dont look at max power look at rms when matching an amp and sub together

all the "800watt" and "600watt" stuff your looking at is max power

I have a 10" eclipse that the RMS is 600 watts, and a peak power handling of 800 watts. I have a cheap 300 watt jensen amp that I am running to it that is bridged, and i hits hard. It is all how you set it up and what sound you are wanting too. I listen to country, old rock, and a lil rap, and my sytem sounds good on it all.

Just remember that when you are setting yours up. Dont go for the most power, or the biggest this or that, get something that will hit hard threw all or most bass levels, and sounds good with what you listen to.
