Upgrading speakers....opinions please!!
Hey.
Lookin' at upgrading my system some more. Do all the speakers. Going for 6x9's. Planning on eventually amping them as well. Need something to compliment the sub.
What do ya'll think of these? (figure take advantage of 1/2 off and free shipping)(i've got a kicker amp and two subs...good products)

Do i want 2way or 3way?
Thanks ya'll...i'm still kind of a noob when it comes to audio kinda. I used to know, but now i'm really rusty.

Speakers are always a tough subject imo. We all have different hearing and certain brands will appeal to us. So your best bet would be to try and demo some speakers in the stores before buying. However, Crutchfield is really awesome in their returns, they pay for it and will help you with anything you need along the way. So you could try them out! I've always liked Polks, the others above like Pioneer, and you've had experience with Kicker subs, so maybe thats your choice.
As for 2 or 3-way I'd say that depends on you too. The 3-way should have better uniformity with the added midrange driver. But i've never had experience with these in my truck so i'm not sure how much or what it adds to the image.
With any speaker you decide to buy amping them will provide a HUGE boost in quality, so i'd definatley suggest doing that as quick as possible. I'm amping my polks in the front doors and its a world of difference.
BTW use 3A825 in the coupon code box for 20 bucks off 100 at crutchfield, I think it expires the 31st. Good luck

I had both the pioneer 3 ways and the 4 ways w/ a kenwood amp. I was never entirely thrilled with the 4ways. So my suggestion would be 3 ways.
Personally, I'm not a big kicker fan. Take a look at the Polks. My boyfriend just installed the components in his truck and they sound fantastic! I'd highly recommend those, the MOMO components are still on sale at crutchfield.

I've got those direct fit pioneers in the front doors.....and don't really like them anymore. lol.
I've searched all the 6x9 threads i could find, including winks how-to or info thread. I know what's involved.
Thanks for the extra coupon code. Hopefully i can find somewhere local with those speakers set up to listen to.
The 3way kickers run like $200, and the 2way run like $150.....crutchfield is running a 50% off sale on kicker component speakers........so was thinking better speaker for cheaper, know i'm sayin'.
Thanks for theinfo guys, on goes the search to hear them before i buy.

I would recommend the Infinty Kappa component speakers.

You will need about a 200w 4 channel amp to run them at full potential. personally, I wouldnt even upgrade speakers unless youre gonna run an amp for them.
I have the Kappa 2 ways in all 4 doors and they are amazing. Im gonna upgrade to these 3 ways soon.
