trust me the new type Rs hit harder than the S and E, the new type Rs are putting up some sick numbers
10" alpine type-r 2nd nine.1, ~2 cubes tuned to 43hz......148.9 on the TL
148.5 w/ 1 15 RE SX on TL
148.5 w/ 1 15type r on TL sensor
the 1st guy is in a single cab s10
other 2 are in a blazer
1st guy had a single SEXXX off 2 9.1s and had a 148.?
and switched to single type r and got 148.5
and ive heard some type Es, deff not sucky, but no where near type r or X, my XXX killed them on like 14/40 on the volume playing some bass songs, if it was me i wouldnt get type S's, they are in the middle either most people want cheap type E or jump up to type Rs and even to type Xs S is in the middle kinda left out, nobody carries them hardly

type e's are said to hit harder than S or R's...
granted, E stands for ENTRY, as in entry level subs....
they're bass on a budget imo...good quality though....
i've shamed 12's with 3x the watts with my two type s 10's.....of course, the box helps alot too...
of course the R's are better, as they're designed higher for different responses, and Type X's are just faukin sick....they were targeted for the JL w7 and MTX 9800 series subs...just so alpine stays in the game....i've thought about a type x setup before....they are just strictly for SQ...SPL isnt their best forum...
R
so, long story short, get 'em, rock 'em, if u like em. i say go S or R....
