Will this fit in my '04?

I dont know much about audio and head units but there is a hummer nav unit for sale near me and just wanted to know if it is an option.

H2 Hummer navigation 05-07

Not unless you mess with the wiring. Not worth IMO. Just get a dash mounted GPS.

na, i dont want a dash one. looks tacky IMO, plus i wont use it that much. just thought that if this one fit and i could talk him down to $300 or so i would get it. How hard would "messing with the wiring" be? like stripping every one and fitting a different plug to them?

Pretty much the best thing to do would be to find the harness from the H2 and slice it into the adapter harness for the Ranger. That way you don't screw with the Ranger wiring only the aftermarket harness. You would have to fin a pinout diagram for the H2 unit. You can do it but it will take time. Back in the day I put a Mitubishi headunit in my Mazda just so I could have music.

you could look around for one of the old AVIC-D3's. you can find them cheaper sometimes. there is one on ebay for 350 right now
