they should make the singer sound they ar right in front of you.

2.1 setup is better for music, unless it was recorded in surround

In my book multi channel (or more than 2-channel anyhow) audio is only appropriate for movie soundtracks. If you have a way to display movies in your truck, go for it, otherwise 2-channels is plenty..

I'm a 2.1 guy... i listen to music more than i watch tv or movies.

A couple 3.5" speakers would work best...

like mentioned above.. a center channel is better with surround sound systems, like you'd find in your house normally. if i had a dvd player and video in my truck, i'd have a center and surround... but, since i have no video, i don't see a point in having the center.

let us know how it turns out... and if you can, get pics of the finished product.

my clarion has dolby pro logic 2 in it, i wouldnt mind trying it ot one day
