Where did you mount your fuse?

I'm trying to find a good spot to mount my main inline fuse under the hood. Any ideas? Pictures? There's not a whole lot of room under there...

I usually put fuses in the spot that a fuse belongs in. But sometimes I put them in the trash.

sorry, that wasn't very helpful was it?

Thanks guys. I ended up just sticking it up behind the battery above the fender well. It's pretty well out of the way, but there's enough wire slack that i can easily access it if I need to.

it should be within 18" cable inches of the battery terminal.

I got that part, thanks Channing

Now if only I could find a way to get the carpet to lay flat with this huge honking 1/0 gauge wire underneath it! I'm trying to route it along the transmission hump but it's not working quite like I'd like it to...

Well I already drilled the firewall for the wire. I got the carpet to a "good enough" point. I won't notice it when I'm sitting in the truck.

I've got some wood-working to do tomorrow and hopefully my headunit will come in soon so I can get the rest of everything installed.

i have mine run along the tranny hump as well... it took a little playing around with to get it to sit down in there alright and not be noticed... now i've forgotten where it even is, so i know it worked for me, lol.

by the way... i see the blue and assume that you're power.. where's that large black wire going???

Hey that box looks alot like mine. Fits well behind the driver and the seat will still recline. Mine is about 1.6 sq ft internal volume. Lil big for a crappy lil 10

My box is right at the sub's specs... I want to say 1.25 cubes if i remember right.

The large blue wire is power, and the black wire is a ground. There is a ground bolt for the seatbelt/overhead accessories circuit there underneath the seat, so I scraped away all the paint and grounded the circuit there. Most other places I could get a good ground are covered with Second Skin. Should I move my ground wire?

if it's a good clean ground, i'd leave it. (i was afraid you ran it all the way back to the battery ) with grounds.. it's best to keep them short... you don't want them longer than neccessary.
