Picking an amp

so I just got two Clarion shallow 10" subs, and am now looking for an amp to power them, but im not the greatest with this stuff. and pretty much anywhere here that sells car audio is commission they try and sell me an $800 amp which...no thanks, so im looking for insight!
these are my subs:
Clarion Canada | WF2510

and these are two possible amps im looking at...
would this be enough?
Alpine 1-Channel Amplifier (MRP-M500) - Best Buy Canada

or do I need to step it up and get something more powerful...
Alpine 1-Channel Amplifier (MRP-M1000) - Best Buy Canada

this is also another option, by clarion (matches subs and head unit)
Clarion Canada | XH7110

thanks for any input guys!

Sundown Audio SAZ-1000D Class D Amplifier 1000 WATTS - eBay (item 180486096266 end time Jun-23-10 1559 PDT)

since ur subs a single 4 ohm . u can run the at a 2 ohm load and be getting 600 from this. sundown is 100x better than alpine. and if u upgrade to something that can run at 1 ohm, this is rated at 1000 rms at 1 ohm but its closer to 1200

overkill? if he runs the subs at 2ohms he will be getting 600rms. since those are 300rms each that would be perfect, i would just becarefull about the gains. he will be fine with this amp

biggest thing i can stress on buying an amp is you want to have atleast your speakers rms rating in watts.
So if a speaker has 1000 peak and 500 watt rms you need atleast a 500 watt amp, also amp will jew you. When buying an amp read the amount of watts it claims to have then find the fuses and see if the amp's claimed watts are as high as the fuses will allow. In other word if an amp says 1000 watts and you check the fuses and it has 2 "40" fuses add a 0 behind each number and you have 400+400=800 watts if 801 watts pass through your "1000" watt amp the fuses will blow meaning that its really an 800 watt amp.

the fuse thing aint always accurate. and some amp dont have any fuses, but when u get a company like sundown u will never need to worry about if it is giving the right ammount of power. yes its rated at 1000rms but its closer too 1200rms @ 1ohm. this and also never look at MAX or PEAK power.

yeah I was told at the store not to look at peak, because that basically just means when your volume is completely maxed out thats how much power it will have, otherwise its always running at the lower rating?

rangerboy101 im assuming your amp is the zx750.1? pm me with some details...

although i did a bit of reading up and some people complain that its frequency doesnt go lower then 50 hz so it misses a lot, but it seems they all listen to rap so im not sure if it would matter for double kick in metal songs? since thats mostly what i listen to
