XM Question...

Alright. My dad just recently got Sirius for his Semi. We can listen to it online which is cool. However, would I be able to get another Sirius unit, put it in my Ranger, and use his account? Or would I have to buy my own?

I'm not sure if Sirius does it but XM has a "family plan" that allows you to have a second radio on the same account for only 6.99 instead of the normal 12.99. Basically if you have one radio it's 12.99 a month, if you have 2 radios its 19.98 per month.

Yes, this is a more Sirius question than one about XM...pun intended, lol.

I have XM. If you're a Stern-iac though, you want Sirius. I have XM because I'm a baseball-iac...

You should be able to find an answer to that on the Sirius website. They have all kinds of info over there. I've thought seriously about getting a second XM radio because of the low cost for extra units, and the older Roady2 from Delphi is currently on sale for $19.99 at Circuit City. That's pretty darn cheap.

It's either $6 or $6.99 per month to have a second reciever on an active sirius acc. I just added a second reciever to my account, but I can't remember the exact amount that it was.

$6.99 for an additional receiver, I have Sirius, and I hate Stern.

The only good thing about Stern, is they made a new channel for him, and rearranged all the others around him. They changed the comedy stations, and the other entertainment stations. So now, numerically, all the entertainment stations are together, and there is room for more stations in that Genre..

Sirius also lets you add receivers to an account. Also for $6.99. Sirius.com has all the details.. I have my GF's set on my account, so we can take advantage of the reduced rate for the second set..
