Yeah it sucks.

Imagine what Alaska is like. I have to wash my truck every week, and not a day later someone throws all the slush on it agian or the melted snow and salt gets misted on the side whilst driving down the road. Wax everytime ya wash plus wheel spray shine, atleast until you get a coating.

When I was in high school I had some chrome steel rims. My solution to keep them from corroding was to cover them in grease. It sounds stupid but it worked. I first sprayed them with WD-40 and let it dry which worked for about a week and them I'd have to redo it. Then I found some clearish grease and I coated the entire wheel with it. From a distance you couldn't tell and in the spring I just wiped it off anf they looked brand new!
