Ever used Purple power

Has anyone used purple power on their engine bay? If so how were the results. Thinking about using it on my engine but wanted to know first what the results were.

I use it on my barbecue grill. It works amazing. I use it once a year to get all the grease and crap from out of the area below the grates. I don't think you are supposed to use it on surfaces that touch food.

I woulld think it would work great on an engine. I always get those big cans of engine brite from advance and use that. Then follow it up with armor all.

I've used Purple Power , and Castrol Super Clean and found they will attack paint.
I'll stick to Simple Green. It takes a little longer to sit on the engine to work , but it does work without destroying anything.

Everyone says not to use it on paint because it'll ruin the paint. But everyone uses it on their rims rims are painted too aren't they. I'm not goig to use it on any paint just a thought.

I use purple power where I work to remove grease off equipment. It works great for that so it should work for the engine bay.

I don't want something to take the paint off the firewall or the fenders.

Read the instructions on the container. You will dilute it with water.
How much is up to you.
But if you use it straight try not to spray it on anything but the engine itself.
I usually take one of those 2 gallon fertilizer/insecticide sprayers and add 1 - 1 1/2 cups of cleaner then top it off with water. Pump it up and spray the engine down , useing the wand to get into the tight places , even where you can't see.
Then after it sits on there for 10-15 minuites , hose it off.

If anything I would use CRC Engine Degreaser it works wonders on the entire bay, and I have had no issues with the paint while using it, which reminds me i need to clean my truck again heh
