First wash n wax since I've had the truck
So between random "lets go down that dirt road" adventures and a couple small mud pits, my truck was dirty. Problem with this is I hadn't waxed the truck since I had owned it. so I figured I'd spend a day cleaning the truck up, cause who doesn't like a clean ride right?
here are the only pics i have of it dirty, and it got more mud before I washed it.

All in all it wasnt too bad
heres a couple in progress, with everything done except for the rims, tires, and the bottom of the truck... and the windows, those come last.

All washed, ready for claybar.

Claybar done ready for wax. I used meguires gold class paste wax and absolutely loved it, was my first time using a paste wax. Easier to tape the trim off then to get all the dried wax off it later in my opinion

Final product, I think it looks pretty good. White cars dont have as much "pop" to them as a black or red vehicle does, which is part of the reason I dont like the color of my truck, looks better covered in mud anyway.

notice anything different? who's gonna be the first to guess my latest mod?

And I know this is a fiddy, but heres what I'm talking about with red vehicles. My sisters truck after I detailed it

And as for black vehicles, what my project car USED to look like

ok one last vehicle, my moms 05 sebring after I detailed it (yuck mopar).

looks great! gahhh i love my white truck after a wax :) and i too did the ever so difficult and tedious time consuming delete modification of the mud flaps(sarcastic lol) it just makes the truck look like it sits higher :)
Everyone doubts rangers, I've seen a 2wd ranger yank out an f350 psd, no problem.
thanks! I was actually looking into getting an f-150 before the ranger, saw a gorgeous 2005 black f-150, leather interior, loaded, 5.4 liter, fx4 package, flowmaster exhuast, thing was immaculate, for just a hair above what i paid for my truck. I dont regret for one second getting a ranger. plus hauling around 4 passengers is downright funny in a ranger.
I just did a wash and polish on my own truck a few days ago.. honestly, it doesnt really look any different then just doing a normal wash like I usually do - thats the sad part with a white truck! But, on the offhand, white trucks look awesome all mudded up =)
