My home vacation pics...

Well i got bored after day 2 of being home for a week. So i decided to paint my calipers and drums which took all of 8 hrs. (5 front and 3 rear)! I had to first scrub off 40K miles of dirt and build up...All in all it looks good

I think my next step will be to color match my grill...like the Expedition Sport

yeah my dad thought i was crazy but i split it up into two days. I did the calipers the first night and finished up the next morning. I didn't use brake cleaner on the calipers so that's why i think it took so long. i just used the cleaner in the kit i got which is horrible. It's amazing how much buildup can get on those calipers and drums...

Looks awesome.
I wouldn't colormatch the grille, if anything get a billet grille and lower part too, that'd look great.

I got mine from Discount tire...they're the only ones that can get the chrome ones. i think i got the last production set...or else that's what they told me

I probably won't color match the grill. It's starting to fade though so if anything i'll paint it black but i think red would be really haut! I don't want the grill inserts becasue of my lights and i have my tag thing on the front.

damn justin i love your truck. i probably would have painted the drums black, but the red calipers give it a real sporty look! i'll get around to doing mine when i have some time (and when i can decide on a color... hehe)

wow those look pretty good... I dont' know if I am personally a fan of the red on the drums but that is why it is your truck and not mine I just hate the look of the drums anyways so I would not want them to stand out any more then need be.. But the front looks bad ***!

Those 2 'half holes' are the brake pad itself, just take the pads out and slide some newspaper under there when painting it.

Looks great. I think color matching the grill will set it off very nicely as well.

it was pretty easy (minus the initial cleaning). I just taped the part off i didn't want any paint on and used newspaper to cover my rotors. It's actually paint; so you have to paint it on and let it dry. I didn't tape off those 2 half holes either. Since it's paint, it pretty much stays where you put the brush. When it drys it comes out like a shiny enamal coat like that but that's after i put 4 coats on the calipers and about 3 on the drums.

It's the dupicolor kit from autozone. It runs about $17.99 with taxes (7.5%) and it comes with everything EXCEPT brake cleaner and brushes to clean with. I had to take my moms car, my truck was on jacks, to get brake cleaner from Wally World (Wal-mart) when i was doing the drums and it took less time. you'll have to buy brushes (stainless steel brushes work the best). The kit says you can use a toothbrush, but that ain't gonna cut it! The kit comes in red, blue, black, and i think gold. I bought 2 kits, but only used one. I actually still have half a can left to paint some more stuff if i wanted to go through the hassle of taking all my tires off again.

As far as the grill goes i think imma color match it like Ford has on the Expedition Sports package.

The rotors are excellent! They stop really well in wet weather and of course dry. the only thing is that you have to get premium pads because the slots will literally tear the cheap pads up. I got carbon-metallic pads that are used on more expesive sports cars for about $118 and the rotors were $120 shipped off of ebay. They come in silver, black, and gold but you have to pay extra for the colors.
