For thoose of you who have used it, here is a new way to apply it to get a real nice shine and to help with feather scratches
This method was created by Russell and Diana Stanaland, the Southeastern Divisional Coordinators for DWG International. Their tip involves using Ultra-Ion with a new application technique
You need a Microfiber towel, and a Wax Applicator Pad (cotton terry pad with a sponge inside)
DIRECTIONS ON USING ULTRA ION
Spray Ultra-ION on to the vehicle to remove the sand and dirt. Clean/wipe with a terry towel and then buff with the micro fiber towel.
POLISH with TERRY PADS
A. Spray Ultra-ION on to your polishing pad with a generous amount.
B. Apply in a right hand (clockwise) circular motion with moderate pressure.
C. Apply in a left hand (counter clockwise) circular motion with moderate pressure overlapping the top of the right hand area. Do the entire panel,
hood, door, etc.
D. Apply in a diagonal motion like making one half of the letter X going to the right.
E. Apply in a diagonal motion going to the left over lapping the right hand X, this is called cross hatching XXXXXXX.
F. Let this totally dry and now buff off with a micro fiber towel. If the towel sticks or drags, let the Ultra-ION dry longer. It has not had time to cure.
On dark colors, after you have completed A thru D, proceed to the finial finish.
Apply a generous amount of Ultra-ION on to your polishing pad. Apply Ultra-ION with finger tip pressure on to the vehicle going with the body lines. When finished with that motion, flip your pad and wipe gently going with the body lines. Your pad will make a slight squeaking sound. Let polish dry and buff off with first micro fiber towel. For a perfect finish, buff again using a second clean buffing towel.
This process using the Micro Terry Foam Filled pad creates amazing depth and removes swirls and creates an extremely clear paint surface. Your finish will feel like Satin and very very smooth.
Also make sure to let the ultra ion dry before buffing off (I do the entire truck then wait a little then buff)
This method uses more product then a normal application but the results are amazing!!
