Collinite 845 Insulator Wax...The BEST wax I have ever used
I traded off one of my AutoGlym HD waxes for a bottle of Collinite 845 Insulator Wax that I seen on another forum. Many have probably never heard of them since they dont advertise but rely on word of mouth and focus their monies on making better products instead of better commercials.
This was is considered a liquid paste wax and has high amounts of carnauba in it. Its very thick when you get it and you must shake the bejesus out it. I actually left mine out in the sun while I was cleaning up the above vehicle and shook it when I was ready. The sun thinned it for me :D
Anyways, a LITTLE of this wax goes a LONG ways! you have to apply THIN, it even says on the bottle. I used my DA with a finishing pad to apply it and I could not have asked for an easier application!!! It went on butter smooth and come off pretty darn easy as long as it was hazed up good. You want to apply it in the shade if possible, the hotter the surface, the longer it takes to cure and the cooler the surface the faster it cures, so you want it just right!!
On the car above I:
1) washed
2) dried
3) compounded with M105 Ultra Cut on a 6 1/2" Meguiar's polishing pad
4) polished with Meguiar's #7 Showcar Glaze Pure Polish on a Meguiar's 6 1/2" finishing pad
5)Sealed with the LSP Collinite 845 Collinite Wax on a 6 1/2" Meguiar's finishing pad
rinsed compound and polish dust off and then dried again and wiped down with Meguiar's Quick Detailer.
The wax put out the best shine that I have ever seen coupled with the freshly compounded and polished surface. And as you can see in the video, the water beaded and rolled off of the surface IMO better than AutoGlym, Meguiar's (cleaner wax, ultimate, or NXT).

I have used this before , but what I used to do was , use a a good carnuba wax first , then I would top it with the Collinite . What a difference it made , the Collinite protected the carnuba wax .It added depth and super gloss to the paint . An added benefit is bugs would wipe right off using a quick detailer and a soft cloth .
Once I get my truck painted I will be going back to this method of paint protection

The viscosity of the 845/925 is certainly thicker than many liquid versions of a paste wax. Simply put, there is a lot of wax in each bottle which makes it thicker. Also, we added more carnauba to the formula a few years back to prevent product separation, and improve gloss/durability.
The 845/925 now discharges from the bottle more like toothpaste than liquid because its higher concentration of wax. The application, spread and ease of use are the same as in the past. If making the product more liquid-like is desired, we recommend submerging the bottle (capped) in a warm-hot pot of water for 5 minutes. Remove and shake the bottle vigorously with your thumb tightly on the cap for one full minute. The added heat and friction from shaking will warm the bottle’s contents and the creamy liquid consistency will be formed. In the colder months of the year, the thicker 845/925 is now the norm if not altered by the aforementioned method.

Usually I DO polish with M205, but decided to try out the #7 pure polish. on my vehicles, i do M105>M205>#7 Glaze>Seal. But with this job,l i only quoted him a wash, compound, polish, and wax. I need to pick up the newer formula of M105 because it supposedly doesn't dust up.

You can compound with 105 on a DA, however it does create a major dusting problem. nothing a little rinse after I get done doesnt take care of. Even the package on the newer ones says DA use. Just use it on a polishing pad (I never use a cutting pad on a DA)
