Scratches, ugh...

Ok so the last trail i went on did a number on the one side of my truck. mostly from the pine trees. they dont feel deep or appear to be severe, just noticeble.

i i have meguires cleaner, polish and gold class wax at home plus the scratch remover but last time i tried that it didnt really help. they arent deep enough to require a wet sanding but deep enough the polish/wax doesnt seem to help. also the scratch remover and VERY fine rubbing compound hasnt worked either...

so any suggestions would be appraciated.

If your that worried about scratches, don't take it off-road?

Especially since you have a fullsize, your just gonna have to suck it up, or do alot of cleaning/polishing every single time you go off-road.

I got scratches all up and down mine and a huge dent in the right rear quarter panel. If i get it fixed i know as soon as it was finished and nice again, something else would happen, so I just keep the interior clean lol.

i agree, you can go offroad and have a nice truck.

I used this Meguiars #83 Dual Action Cleaner/Polish and it take almost everything out. Its not made to wax a whole truck with, only scratches and things.

Im not sure what stores sell it, but my uncle ordered a bottle off the internet and gave me half. There is only 1 scratch on my truck that i couldnt get out with that stuff....and nothing else takes it out.
it is fron a tree branch as well.

maybe i want to? or maybe i like to off-road? or perhaps its my only vehicle? or maybe even its not ur truck to tell me what to do with it? or how about u concern urself with ur truck and getting that SAS done and leave me to do what i want? seems with u, if someone doesnt go hard core its not cool or they shouldnt wheel

u can have a nice truck and wheel it, i know i've done it before. i just avoid the tight trails but this was un-avoidable. it doesnt bother me but i cant seem to get them out when it comes time to clean/polish/wax em and i figured ya'll may have some suggestions.

Whoops didn't mean for the post to go straight up your ***.

But do you seriously expect to take a truck off-road and keep it so clean and the paintjob perfect?

Off-roading and scratches/blemeshes come hand in hand.

Show me where i said if you don't "hardcore wheel" you shouldn't...please show me. I just said if your going to be that **** about your truck/paintjob it's probably in your best intentions to stay on the pavement.

I have paint chips from driving on the street...

trail trophies can be made to dissappear for a time with polishing then wax
after a time or a few washings they come back as they really are permanent scratches in the clear coat
use scratch X or the mothers product and then a full wax, only you will see them

bit testie tonight, eh. must be that time of the month :lol

im gunna try the fine rubbing polish on the area first then polish/wax.

but like i said before, if im gunna bust my *** to clean it up before winter why not try to get them out the best i can? makes sense to me...

I go offroadin whenever I can and try to be nice to the paint, but sometimes sh*t happens and scratches occur. I think right now I'm at about 8 total, each with a pretty cool story. For any crap that you get for havin a scratched truck, you make up for in respect for using it as an actual truck and not as a mall crawler. That's just my 2 cents..

Probably not. It's not something i'm going to rush. Was that supposed to be insulting? If so then...

I'm waitin for my LED's galore to get here, so i can accent my slammin interior.

If not then nevermind.
