Shine Dull Looking after I wash.
Here's the situation I wash my truck with car wash soap I think the name of it is Duragloss. After i'm done washing the truck and I'm ready to wax it. NXT is what i use. I get done waxing it shines really good then when I go to wash it again like a week or so later after I'm done washing it. The wax job I did the week or so before looks a little dull. Anybody else have this problem and have any ideas on what to do so I won't have to wax after every wash to get my truck to shine.

people around here swear by NXT... however, i found it didnt keep its 'shininess/water beading' very long. Like 6 weeks later water didnt bead up on it anymore.
I use a wax called insulator wax, which lasts about 4-6 months.
Also, wax is better than polish. polish makes it 'uber shiny' for a bit, where as wax actually protects your vehicals finish.
Thats why you wax your boats, and dont polish your boats. Thats not to say that polish is bad, but wax is the way to go.

First wash with the Gold class carwash shown above and dry it.
Next apply one coat of the zymol and let it get bone dry (1.5 hours).
Apply the ice and let dry to a slight haze then immediately apply another coat of the zymol. It will dry in about 2 minutes right before your eyes as you're doing the final step one section at a time. here are the results 18 months later with no washing or waxing of any kind:
These cleaning products were purchased last week and is the exact same thing I used the last time I detailed my truck back in August of 2006. If this don't help nothing will. The shine is like looking in a freshly exteremly cleaned mirror. After that process if you want you can just run through an automatic carwash if you want (I didn't) and it will hold it's shine like you just saw.

when you wash it after you have waxed it, do u use the soap and brush/towel? The soap may de-waxing. just a thought.
I can tell u who doesn't have that problem, Dave01978. Dave judging by your avatar you have a killer product. Is that orig. paint, buffed, or just that good of a product?

Everyone thanks for you input. I just want people to see what I'm talking about. The next time you wasn n' wax your truck. You have that nice shine well look at the truck after it rains or after the next time you wash it without waxing it. It doesn't have that shine anymore like it did after you waxed it. Anybody see what I'm talking about.

The product is super good, the paint is original, i have buffed it a couple times since i had it, but that really only adds a little bit to the shine.
