What detailing product company do you like best?

do you guys stick to one brand, or do you have products from several companies?

i just buy w/e i happen to need, and today pepboys was running a huge sale on meguaires products, any two products for 8 bucks (minus the claybar kits )

so i walked out with about 40 bucks in detailing supplies haha

For car wash, I use Turtle Wax Ice. So far, it has given me the best clean as far as looks go. But, you know how white is. It hides dust and stuff great, but everything else gets put on it quick.

Interior stuff, I use Armorall. It seems to work fine for what I do, although I do not like the streaking glass cleaner they have. I have yet to find a product that doesn't streak, though.

I used to have some meguaires stuff, but I think it might have gotten left at a friend of mines house.

I use either Mother's or Meguire's for my detailing needs. I don't really venture off to other brands.

otc products i think mothers and megs are about the same, i do like mothers syn wax better then megs nxt because nxt attracts way to much dust for my liking. but once you get into real products megs pro has what you need, but i wouldnt be sad if some menzerna or zanio fell into my lap.

Zaino FTW! Once you go Zaino you throw away everything else.

My friend Randy is a salesman and he taught me how to use Zaino and all about the product. It is impressive.

i use mostly megs.

megs- NXT 2.0, clay bar kit, quick detailer, tireshine when i use aerosol, the stuff to clear headlights, gonna try their goldclass carwash

turtle wax- ICE carwash, spray wax for in between paste waxing

armorall- liquid original tireshine, which i uses most of the time

mothers- back to black

tuff stuff- aerosol interior cleaner. works well

eagle or any other aerosol streak-free glass cleaner. ive used 6 or 7 diff brands and none worked any better than the other.

I generally use Meguires. Just got into making the truck pretty. lol.

Wash: Meguires NXT
Bar: Meguires Clay
Wax: Meguires NXT 2.0
Door Jambs: Meguires quick detailer
Wheels/Tires: Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner(squirt bottle). (I don't do tire shine).
Windows: IDK the name....pretty sure it's Eagle One though.
Interior: It's Meguires.

And I really don't care that I speeled it wrong. lol.

For those that don't like a bunch of tire shine but want a nice clean looking black tire you have to try Meguiars Hyperdressing, its amazingggg. Dilute it 4:1 and its perfect

Is that off the shelf stuff? Like I can actually find it locally at an autoparts store? does it make the side walls brown when you don't recoat it every week? I've had bad sidewall staining on a set and ever since, I've really steered clear.

Marie's brother and my friend Austin uses professional tire stuff....Austin showed me his trick of the perfect shene....spray on the shine, then pressure wash it off.

Some places have it. I've heard some Sherwin Williams for some reason carry the Megs Pro stuff. It doesn't turn the sidewalls brown either, that Armor All Hot Shine stuff in a can does that and drove me crazy.

Sorta off topic, yet on topic...

What is the real world difference between paste wax and liquid wax? Is one easier to use than the other? Advantages and disadvantages? Always kinda wondered that.

I use liquid NXT 2.0 because I like....made a decision while holding both in my hand at the store. lol.

the liquid is easier to put on but from what i've experienced, the "mirror finish" shine doesn't last as long with a liquid wax as it does with a paste,
you may get a little more than 2 weeks with a liquid but with a paste i've had it last over a month.

the paste takes a lot longer to apply.....i can do my whole truck with a liquid wax in about 2 hours, while with a paste it would take about 3 to 4 hours

i personally prefer paste but out of laziness i use a liquid

it took you that long to paste wax it??? thats insane. when me and my dad waxed my f150 it took an hr and 15 min including masking off the black trim. it took a long time to clay bar though. bout 2-3 hrs.

where can you find the NXT wash? all i can find at walmart is the goldwash and their megs cheaper wash thats purple/pink w/ a family on the front sticker. lol
