Didnt notice much of a chance from stock 225/70 to the 30s as far as rpms or spedometer
my 30's are about 50% tread left maybe 60%
just seems that 3 grand factory at 70mph is a lil high and I would think it would cause bad mpg....always thought cruising rpms were supposed to be 2000-2200 rpm range

3k is the begining of the power band for most 4 bangers. on hondas its the 80 test. at 80mph a ls integra will be at 3500rpm a gsr 4000, and a civic si will be at 4500, granted those are 1.8's and a 1.6's non and vtec equipped, but the duratec doesnt produce peak power till 5250 and doesnt make peak tq till 3750, so 3100 is nothing for the motor and should be more efficent at moving a brick threw the air at that speed then at lower rpms. ive always considered 2000rpms to be boggish for 4cyl none of them are really happy doing anything that low
