2002 2.3L 2wd capless radiator system. I tried once before and couldn't get the system to accept any coolant so I had to go to a shop and have them place a vacuum machine onto the resevoir tank to vacuum all the air out of the system, then the system sucked in the coolant. But Im tired of having someone else charge for this. I thought I could loosen the rad petcock and slowly replace the coolant that way, but no coolant will even drip out (and thats with the res cap off and engine running). So has anyone personally, firsthand drained and refilled their capless radiator system? thanks

 

Just pull the hose off the Rad, Drain it all out. Push some water through the system, then refill.

 

how do you "push water thru the system"

 

Put your garden hose in the hose you disconnected, wrap a towel around it or something to stop the water from coming back out and just turn the hose on.
