Question about the auto trans bolted to a 2003 2.3 DOHC

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me if a 2003 auto trans bolted to a 2.3 DOHC is the same as a 2004 auto trans that's bolted to a 3.0?

i know they are both 5r44e's but i think the bellhousing is different on the 2 motors

Bell housings are definitely different between 2.3 and 3.0. I believe that the torque converters are also different.

Damn, I was afraid of that. Ford just can't make anything interchangeable.

they make alot of things that interchange just not what ya need when ya need it
