The new amsoil filters are the best choice. The filter much better than any of the oiled filter and flow nearly as well. A buddy of mine is a amsoil dealer and gave me one to try. I have noticed that it works just as well as when I had the other filters and leaven no dust, grime, ect... in the intake tube. I highly recommend.

He didn't say the intake hose diameter, he's looking for a filter that has a 5" inlet.

It looks like his last post specifies a 5" inlet...Maybe I misread to post! I would consider that the intake dimension would match that of the filter, but who knows?

I learned today that k/n uses an adapter between the filter and the MAF to open the 3" opening upto the 5"filter. It's not available yet, but Amsoil has one on the way. They always get way sell the most out first, the more people that call and are interested in something other than what they have available, the faster it will come to the market. You may consider giving there tech. support a call and asking(715-392-7101) The more calls they get the faster the filter becomes available, at least thats what I was told by one of the tech. people.
