overheating/ shaking?

overheating/ shaking?
For the last 2 weeks the temp and oil gauge has been jumping all over the place. I've checked both fluids and they are fine...I made an appointment for the 17th. Tonight my husband comes home and says that when he went 30mph it started shaking and the temp gauge would not go back down.....any idea?
