Intake manifold leak?
Hi, new to this thread. I have a 2003 2.3L Ranger, 5 speed. I am trying to determine why the truck runs so bad.
I have little power and retrieve the following codes:
P0300, P0301, P0304, P0316.
I recently replaced the cat converter and both O2 sensors. Also replaced plugs and wires, as well as air filter. When I rev the engine to ~3000 rpm I hear a distinct sound like a vacuum leak. I have sprayed starting fluid along all vacuum lines and cannot find any leak. I am having trouble getting all the way around the intake manifold to test for leaks there. any other ideas/suggestions?
Thanks for your help!

yes,.,,,,,,i have had the same problem......mines a 2001 2.3
i had it checked and found out the the INTAKE MANIFOLD itself wasnt BROKIN ON THE INSIDE..... theres a metal shaft that moves the flaps ( not know what they are called) to allow proper air flow.....
hopefully this gets u in the right direction........
