Have you done this to your 2wd?
Ok I have a question for anyone that has a 2wd 2.3L. Was wondering if anyone has put the taller tire's on like the 245's that come on the 4x4's? I have a 2002 and want to get more ground clearence out of it since I am a sportsman and drive on some back roads that are not the best. The stock gearing is 3.73's now and I want to put 4.10's in with the taller tires it should equal out pretty good and not loose to much from that. So Im just seeing if anyone has done this combo and if so let me know how you like it and post a picture if you have one.
Thanks

i got a 98 2.5 with 4.10's
here is stock
here is 265/75/16 with no lift
here is 265/75/16 with 3" suspension lift
looks and drives great a little high rpm's on the hwy to keep it going but its good all around i got 13" of clearance between my front cross-member and the ground
i'm about to upgrade to 4.56's cuz i'm going up to 286/75/16 which are 33's and would need more of a gear but your good with 4.10's

Did those rub at all? I was looking to get that size after I got my truck lifted 4 inches. But if they can fit now I dont have to suffer with bald *** tires for a month or two.

Yes It does. I'm running 31x10.5R15 and my stock tire is 235/75R15. At "60mph" im really doing 70mph. You should be able to re program the tire size in the newer trucks wich will fix your spedometer. the older trucks there is a gear in the transition that connects to the speedo cable just get a new gear and it won't be perfect but it will be close enough that you won't get pulled over
