I was wondering if the 2.3's have had transmission problems? Thanks

 

ALL rangers that have manual trans have their problems....mazda part. pos. the 2-3 shift is commonly a grind.....grinding shift. Plus the frenchmade abso-friggin-lutely pos slave cyls have an unknown life. I'm on slave cyl #3 right now. #1 lasted about 55k, #2 lasted 15k, and i have 1k on #3. Some have gone bye bye at less than 10k. hope any of this jumbled up crap makes any since.

 

I don't own one but i was wondering if I could find a truck wit ha bad tranny easier than finding one with a bad motor.
