I did it again. And after this I swear I'm going to quite. Cold turkey.

Blurry, but next to a 28 spline 9" shaft.

Picked them up from Currie Enterprises today.

Overkill?

This one seen here... https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...hlight=strange

It's a Strange Nodular housing with 4.56 Sierra gears, a 35spline Detroit locker, 1350 yolk, bla bla bla, you know the usual

Are you going to have to run a different pattern front/rear with the 9" and the DBR kit? Anyone do 5 on 4.5 for the BB 9"

Yea its not the tubes that are the problems, its the carrier. the stock 3rd member doenst have big enough bearings to properly work with 35 spline shafts, which is why you need the 3.25" bearing aftermarket 3rd.

Nope. The 9" that I got actually had a 5 on 4.5 pattern stock. Mine is out of a Ranchero. They got the Torino style Big Bearing ends and the 5 on 4.5 lug pattern and stock are about 78" wide (with wheels/tires) which makes it absolutely perfect for my truck.

And besides that, like I said, the axles are custom made by Currie, 5 on 4.5 lug pattern.

Yea they will. I needed the nodular third member so I could fit the larger bearings in it but having the big bearing housing already they fit in the ends no problem. I'm not sure what is required to go larger than 35 though.

That was my plan too. I was going to run the stock case with the 28 spline shafts I had, even got a spare set. All I can say is the price was right on this set up, so I upgraded.
