99 3.0 4x4 auto. About a weel ago the truck started miss firing. Check engine light came on = P0305. Changed the plug and wire on cylinder #5. Still has the problem. check the coil pack, firing as should be. Gave up, took it the shop. He says exhaust valve is sticking, a common problem on this vehichle. Total reaip cost to pull head, machine, new valve =$1800+/-.

Seems kind of high. Anyone else have this problem? Thoughts? Only paid $4000 for the truck a couple of years ago.
