I'm just going to throw this out there, considering i've just about re-built mine.
CV shafts don't go out into the hubs, Hubs have a spring that grabs the CV shaft once it starts turning.
Easy way to see if your hub is good. take it off, spin the inside of the hub a few times around in a circle. if thats all kosher and nothing falls out, then it isn't your hubs.
Can you verify that the front driveshaft is spinning when you engage 4x4?
and if we're talking about the bearings inside of the Hubs, good luck finding them anywhere, they aren't replaceable, you need to buy the WHOLE outside hub.

Parts that go on the end of the CV shaft:
Spindle nut, Key in the keyway, assorted washers. Lock ring, then there is another nut that goes on after all of that that's spring loaded to sit on the shaft.
Autozone can sell you the Mile Marker or Warn 4x4 hubs that are manual, which you need a conversion kit because your truck is Automatic locking from the Factory They cost an arm and a leg (about 150 bucks a piece, Conversion kit is another 30 bucks a piece) I got my hubs off of ebay for 50 bucks.
you most likely have a D35 but check here for a more accurate read (http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...ont_Axles.html)
