Decoding VIN for 8.8 purchase

I've been scouring all over eastern ontario for a Ford 8.8 for my ranger. I managed to locate only 2(both 3.55... grr)

However I'm not certain they are 8.8s. they're from Ford Explorers and I have the Vin number but when I look it up the only info I get online is that theyre 3.55 and "semifloating"

Here are the two vin numbers, can anyone help me out?

1FMZU34E8XZB22643
and
1FMDU72E0YUA64885

Did they put any other axles in a ford explorer? they're years 2000, and 1999 respectively.

If they are from a Ford Explorer, they are 31spline Ford 8.8" axles. Nothing else came under Explorers until the '02 model year.
