Are the spiders welded to the carrier, or just the spider gears welded? Because if its just the spiders, you can buy new ones without buying a new carrier. If they're welded to the carrier, you'd need a new carrier + spider gears if you were to wanna unlock it. If you don't mind me asking, how much does she want for it?

I mean, I would throw it under my xj if it was closer. welded or not. I'm sure she'd crack it open for you if you pay to fill it back up with fluid lol.

You are not going to want a welded rear end for your DD. If you are locked now, do you have an actual locker or is it welded.

A welded locker is a whole 'nother dog compared to L/S.
I'd hit that up for off road rig man. time to start collecting.

those are good, save the money youd spend on this, and convert your axle to disc breaks and youll have a better axle than the one for sale. trust me.

exactly, that is made to disengage and let one tire spin quicker than the other while turning and such on the road. A welded rear end is a totally different ball game. Not going to be what you want for a DD

Shock mounts are different, not sure if the geometry will be correct to get them to bolt in.

the shock mounts on the 8.8 should be fine. anything is better than the way they are on the axle above. I've caught mine on rocks several times and it makes me cringe. and the good think about the mount being higher up on the axle is you can run shorter shocks if you're cheap lol.

and to the don't weld a DD. I know numerous people who are welded on their DD's. its just something you have to adapt to. but, if you don't wheel it much, putting a welded diff in is stupid IMO.

oh, and is this girl good looking? hahaha. girls that drive xj's, aaah.
