can some one point me in the right direction

went to go wash the truck and noticed a little problem...lol

the band that hold the boot on is gone, and looks like a missing bearing on the cv joint
what do i need to get to fix it, part numbers/names?
I am far from a mechanic any help would be greatly appreciated

you shouldn't drive it like that, just that CV axle needs to be replaced not the entire axle

Too bad you aren't closer. We could put a new one on in probably 20 to 30 minutes max.

Yeah I'd help you with it Koyn, but I sold my spares to Casey a couple months ago, otherwise I'd just let you have it.

That doesn't surprise me. The parts stores here rarely have anything I need in stock.
